The HRCS2 electric train sets were purchased by Ukrainian railways to provide passenger transportation between cities where the Euro 2012 football matches will be held. They are designed and made by the Hyundai Rotem, a division of the Hyundai Motor Group which manufactures railway rolling stock, defense products and plant equipment. The contract price for the purchase of 10 trains was 307 million dollars. Delivery of these South Korea built trains started on March 11, 2012 and the last train should be delivered in the August 2012, even though this will mean that not all of these sets will be used during the football championship.
